Israeli PM warns over peace hopes Ariel Sharon wants Palestinian militant groups dismantled Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has accused the Palestinian leadership of taking insufficient measures against militant groups. Mr Sharon warned the "roadmap" peace plan would only be revived "after the Palestinians stop terror activities". His comments appeared to dampen hopes of progress at a summit with the Palestinian prime minister on Tuesday. Mahmoud Abbas, who will meet Mr Sharon in Egypt, has been trying to persuade militants to agree to a ceasefire. The summit, in Sharm el-Sheikh, will be the highest-level meeting between Israeli and Palestinian leaders since the intifada broke out in October 2000. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4237965.stm

The United States just pulled the Ambassador to Syria in response to the recent assination of the former Lebonese PM. This seems a bit extreme to me, is it possible that this is going to be the flash point that starts us off on a road to war with Syria? What if Syria, not Iran is the next target?

It would make sense to give the impression that we are going to Iran next, then turn and drop a bomb on Syria. Decoy.
